The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
